This is a foreign extra stout which is a stronger variant of the traditional Irish dry stout originally brewed for the tropical regions. The higher alcohol and hopping rates helped the stout survive the long journey to the colonies. There are flavors of burnt caramel and coffee grounds. This is all very light but with prominent character. After a while, the beer picks up more of a cocoa flavor with a larger character of anise or black licorice. It has a slightly spicy aroma and a bit of cocoa and coffee scent. It has a lofty nutty (roughly peanut) aroma to the beer which gives it this unique character and sneaks up with a bit of a sweet smelling aroma at the end which is a bit like maple or brown sugar where the name stealth comes from. We hope you make it out to try it!
